1,2 billion people do not have access to clean drinking water. For years the Dutch IBOTA (The International Bridge of Technical Assistance, www.ibota.org) foundation has been involved in projects aimed at reducing this massive number of people in need. The foundation develops, produces and gives access to mobile water filtration systems for the poorest families
on earth.

In February '09 Pezy started the development of a new design for a mobile hand pump, this in concert with IBOTA.

The pump will be manufactured in Calcutta, India, creating many jobs, including training for unemployed. The focus of this redesign will be on cost reduction, ergonomics, safety and manufacturing feasibility. From India these water filtration systems can be sent all over of the world.

Soon Pezy will visit the production facilities in Calcutta to explore the local technical possibilities. By applying its abilities in product design and development Pezy contributes to, as a charity initiative, the campaign for clean water.
