This summer, Philips introduced its latest Senseo coffee machine. The Viva Café Eco is made of recycled plastics.

Pezy supported Philips by exploring options to replace the original applied plastics with recycled materials, with specific focus on the production process.
During one year several tests have been performed to find a suitable material and process combination. By optimizing production processes and long term testing a high quality performance with recycled PP, PC and ABS could be guaranteed.
The materials for this product originate from waste material flows in production processes (PIR – post industrial recycled) and collection of products after use (PCR – Post consumer recycled).
